Casual Game Critic
Meet The CGCrew
The lifeblood of all things Casual Game Critic
Initial instigator and Co-Founder of Casual Game Critic, podcast host, writer and occasional streamer with a focus on overall site, brand and content direction.
Originally from the midlands of Ireland but now an adopted son of Cork city.
I have a lifelong love for all things gaming which is of course what was the driving force in starting this casual journey, but am also a general nerd in all ways you can imagine.
You can mostly find me popping into every game that I possibly can in order to get a feel of what it's all about, but will often find me completely engrossed in open world gaming experiences such as Witcher 3, Breath of the Wild or Red Dead Redemption 1 or 2.
Interested majorly in videogame history and preservation, Anime, tinkering with technology and all things nerdy.
AV Editor in Chief, Co-Founder
One of the founding members of Casual Game Critic, writer, podcast host and editor. I am the gatekeeper of all things audio and visual at CGC.
Hailing from the midlands of Ireland I have a love of many a nerdy thing but videogames definitely top the list.
I like to get engrossed in a single game at a time exploring and discovering every inch of what it has to offer. This may have something to do with my favorite franchises being FromSoftwares souls series and The Lord of the Rings.
When I am not too busy exploring fantasy land or editing content I like to build Lego, mostly Star Wars.
A content creator for CGC who is Cork city born and bred, but please don’t hold it against me.
I am a lover of all things weird and wonderful, and I truly believe the wackier and more unique something can be the better and more entertaining it is. Which is probably why I end up playing so many indie games and JRPGs. Or indie JRPGs.
When not engrossed in my fifty something-th hour of an epic-length RPG, I can usually be found reading some sort of fantasy novel, dying in a spin class that makes me hate life and everything in it, or playing with my two pets Malt(ose) and Dex(trose) the sugar gliders. I also love terrible science-based puns. Sorry in advance.
A content creator (and resident Dungeon Master) for CGC who has been writing in one form or another for many years.
I am an avid RPG player and relish an awesome story over anything else. I’m always keen to explore games that have a world that you can just lose yourself in for hours at a time.
I have recently been exploring the mobile option for gaming as this becomes more and more accessible to people, but have yet to settle on any one game yet.
Outside of video gaming I have an obsession for all things Dungeons and Dragons, where I have been the Dungeon Master for many a game and have even begun writing and publishing my own stories.
Like most of the crew I also emanate from Cork City. Having received a Sega Mega Drive and Sonic the Hedgehog back in the early 90’s I’ve been an avid gamer and haven’t stopped since.
Big fan of many series, from Final Fantasy to Mass Effect and Spyro to Resident Evil. I’ve played across most platforms and have been guilty of buying multiple ports of the same game (Looking at you, Resi 4).
When not reading comics, gaming, or writing about gaming, you can find me spending the few spare hours between work and sleep drinking my liquid weight in coffee and complaining about how I need more sleep.

Darragh Duggan O’Driscoll
Born and reared in Cork and a film student, so I’m basically the most annoying person you’ll ever meet.
I pretty much spend all my time watching movies, TV, or writing. I cannot remember the last time I saw a movie I actively hated, since there’s nearly always something that works in some regard. I’d be big into action, sci-fi, a bit of fantasy, and that weird 90s trend that adapted Shakespeare plays into modern comedies. I also love a good crime comedy.
When I’m not watching movies I’m usually going off on hikes if the weather’s good, listening to music, reading whatever book I got a mad notion to pick up, or playing the odd video game if my attention span doesn’t falter too much.
